First gig Jan 20th

My first gig with the Carnival Band will be January 20 at the Arts Club theatre Backstage [Granville Island]. The CB hit the stage at approx 11.30pm or so. This should be interesting, I don't think I've been up that late [outside my apartment] in a while; but this is the music biznus and I am ready with the coffee.

Rehearsals with the CB have been going well. They are a great bunch of people to work with, they have a great time on stage and the audience pick up on it right away. There are about 40 songs in the song book, I've got to about half of them. There is a wide range of music to play, right from Fire by Hendrix to a 15th century dance, with lots of classic jazz, afro-carib-new orleans-cuba in between.

This thing with the CB has been a long time coming, finally, finally it looks to be a reality.
